In what felt like seconds letter, I received yet another notification from Saba, but this time around it included a response: “Lets go.”Ĭhicago was unsurprisingly brisk the night of November 25, but the atmosphere glowed with warmth once we entered the sold-out House of Blues. On the same day of Saba’s appearance at Fat Tiger, I tweeted him again: “When you get hit with a last minute trip idea and find out performing that weekend.” Without thinking twice, my friend and I solidified our itinerary for that next weekend.Īs a means of promoting the show, Saba was active on Twitter at the time, updating fans on his whereabouts, whether offering to drop off tickets to local schools and parks or surprising Chicago residents with a meet-and-greet at Fat Tiger Workshop.
